It's Not Even Wrong II
Half-century ago, technology historian Marshall McLuhan said the computer was creating information storage and retrieval capabilities far beyond anything humanity has ever known. He was right.
I was searching around for some electricity numbers and came across this, the International Energy Agency’s, “World Energy Investment 2020” with this fact:
SUVs account for 60% of the increase in the global car fleet since 2010. In 2019, their share in total car sales topped 40% for the first time, compared with less than 20% a decade ago.
This trend has been universal and unrelenting. Today, half of all cars sold in the United States and over 35% of the cars sold in Europe are SUVs.
And the “environmental” plan is to electrify this? Not only is this not even wrong, it’s not even ridiculous.
